As of June 1, Emirates will resume its second daily flight to the capital of Portugal, Lisbon.
Portugal saw a 10 percent increase in tourists last year to 21 million people, with visitors to Lisbon rising 16 percent. According to Emirates divisional senior vice president for commercial operations, West, Hubert Frach.
“The second daily service between Dubai and Lisbon will, therefore, meet growing demand for seats on the route, as well as offer our customers in Portugal and from across Emirates’ worldwide network more choice and flexibility when planning their travel.”
The flight will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, with eight suites in first class, 42 seats in business class, and 310 seats in economy class.
In other news, the airline plans to launch a new daily service to Auckland, via Bali, on June 14.
Flight EK 450 will depart Dubai at 06h55 and arrive in Denpasar, Bali, at 20h20. It departs Denpasar at 22h00 and arrives in Auckland at 10h00 the following day.
